Adrian Madlener is a Brussels-born, New York-based writer and curator. Over the past ten years, he's held editorial positions at The Architect’s Newspaper, TLmag, and Frame magazine, while also contributing to publications such as Architectural Digest, Artnet News, Cultured, Disegno, Domus, Dwell, Hypebeast, Metropolis, The Design Edit, and Wallpaper. He has also curated exhibitions on the tool theory and copy-cat design culture.
With degrees from Design Academy Eindhoven and Parsons School of Design, Madlener is particularly interested in topics that exemplify the best in craft-led experimentation and sustainability while also supporting talents that push the envelope in art, architecture, and design. In 2023, he wrote the Crafting Character monograph, surveying the practice of Czech architecture firm Chybik + Kristof. He also co-wrote Vincenzo de Cotiis's Interiors book, published by Rizzoli.
